TO PROSPER IS TO HAVE ENOUGH TO GIVE AWAY TO OTHERS.
In Christ we each have a ministry -- whether you're an accountant, teacher,
mechanic, doctor, pastor, or have a calling -- and to support this ministry we use the rewards of our labor. In our society the median of exchange is US dollars.
As Christians we are the stewards of God's money. We have given Him our life, and He has given us His ability. Our wealth is really His wealth. All that we have is from Him.
We are defining prosperity as having more than enough. To prosper is to have enough to give away to others. Paul wrote in the third epistle to John, "Beloved, I wish above all things that thou may prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospers." What you have is your gift from God, what you do with it is your gift to God. The Holy Spirit gives us ideas. It is our responsibility to act on these ideas.
